Privacy Policy

Task Hero ("we," "our," "the app") is a family task-tracking app. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Task Hero to work with the minimum data necessary, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Who uses Task Hero

Task Hero is used by parents/guardians to set up and manage a family account. Children do not create their own accounts or sign in directly — a parent enters their children's names, an emoji or photo, and their tasks and rewards inside the parent's own account.

Information we collect

How we use your information

Your data is used solely to provide Task Hero's functionality: signing you in, syncing your family's tasks and progress across your devices, and displaying your own reports and insights. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Where your data is stored

Task Hero stores data using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a cloud infrastructure provider. Data is transmitted using encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. Access to your family's data is restricted to your own signed-in account — our security rules prevent any other user from reading or writing your data.

Your choices

• You can review and edit your family's data at any time inside the app.
• You can sign out at any time from the account menu.
• You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Setup → Settings → Delete my account inside the app. This immediately and permanently deletes your family's data and your sign-in account, and cannot be undone.
• If you're unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Task Hero is designed for use by parents/guardians managing their family's routines. Children do not sign in, create accounts, or provide information to us directly — any information about a child (name, emoji, photo, tasks) is entered by the parent/guardian who controls the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Task Hero after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
